![]() ![]() The map is identical to the original StarCraft map 'The Hunters' except the mineral and vespene gas reserves have been increased. It was also included in the WebMaps collection for StarCraft: Brood War. Blizzard will add and remove maps to the ladder throughout the life of the game, but they currently utilize the following map selection pools (note: the number of players refers to the number of possible starting positions). Size 128x128 Big Game Hunters is a StarCraft map originally released as part of the Maps of the Week release of October 1998. Basically what I'm wondering is if there's maybe a fan made BGH remake, or even something vaguely similar out there. I like the long drawn out games, and there's plenty of resources and space to keep you occupied. Of course, not all of these are used on the various Ladders (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and FFA). Back in the original StarCraft days, I would pretty much exclusively play Big Game Hunters. There are, in fact, 52 maps available from Blizzard with the shipping version of SCII. I had to move the resources around to make room for the larger starting buildings (5x5 instead of 4x3). ![]() I used the legacy map converter to get the basics into the map, then manually added the cliffs, water, and pathing. Nothing has been changed to make the map more friendly for the new units. There are a lot of maps in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, but you might not realize it if you only player Ladder games or games of a certain type - 1v1, 2v2, and so on.
